Killeline Nursing Home Residents had a most wonderful afternoon in Doneraile Park last Sunday! Lovely music by Light Orchestra from Cork attended by historical characters! Discovering Kunturk Castle ›

Residents and staff from Killeline Nursing Home went to Kanturk to visit the beautiful Castle last week. Kanturk Castle is a fortified house built in 1601 for MacDonagh McCarthy as a defence against English Settlers. Residents really enjoyed a bit of the history. The aim of the items in these boxes is to stimulate positive memories from resident’s pasts. Without the continued support and involvement of family members in the care of our residents this project would not be feasible. What a wonderful day we had yesterday in Cobh visiting Titanic Experience! Our Residents found the experience most interesting and enjoyable although the history is very sad.
